Canon Camera Launch

Canon launched EOS R8 and R50 mirrorless hybrid cameras that are best for travelling. We were briefed to create engaging events targeting trade, retailers and content creators.

In 2023,  travel was back post-Covid, and a large percentage of Australians were planning overseas travel in the next year.  Travel is also a motivation for consumers to purchase a camera.

With this in mind, we managed an event end-to-end at the Hijinx Hotel, a venue full of colourful and engaging challenge rooms which provided a perfect backdrop for the use of the cameras.

We hosted separate events in 3 states for trade and consumers over consecutive nights.  Over 600 attendees were engaged with the cameras and tasked with using them in photo challenges with the chance of winning Canon cameras.

Content from attendees was shared during the event, and retailers and content creators said it was the best event they’d attended in over 20 years.
